Seal Revelation
Revelation Chapter 6 is where we see the
seven seals revelations. These activities are of particular importance to
us because this is where we live now. In the Seal revelations only one
quarter of the earth is subject to the activities.
The first
seal reveals a conqueror bent on conquest. As we look at the
Babylonian, Medo-Persian, Greek, Roman and more recent conquest it is
easy to see where one quarter of the world has been conquered at one
time or another. It is doubtful that the world organizations will
allow such massive invasions in the future.
The second seal
reveals power to take peace from the earth and make man slay each
other. I lived near Houston when it was the murder capital of the
United States. Those killing were friends and families killing each
other. There are still drug cartels fighting each other with little
regard for who else is killed or injured. We still find evidence of
mass murders; but hopefully that will improve in the future. On the
less destructive side we still have large conflicts between employer
and employee. With a divorce rate hanging around 50% we see massive
lack of peace in our most sacred unions. What happens to your peace
when someone cuts you off in traffic? It is easy to see where peace
has been removed from a quarter of people on earth today.
The
third seal reveals problems in our economic system. As high tech, high
paying jobs are performed by the lowest bidder we see massive economic
redistribution. It is harder and harder for the unemployed to find
replacement occupations that pay the salary they have previously
earned. That is contrasted by more and more millionaires being created
each year. The lower earning employee must work more and more hours to
purchase what they want. While the more affluent business owner or
employee can afford the more luxurious products and residence. It is
easy to imagine a quarter of the population of the earth being involved
in some form of economic unbalance.
The fourth seal reveals
Death, with Hades following close behind. The last one hundred years
has been the deadliest in the history of mankind. We are looking at
deaths by sword (weapon), famine, plague (swine flue), and wild
beast. As we continue to use wilderness for housing of one type or
another we expose ourselves to animal encounters. We lose as many
people to traffic and other accidents as we do to wars today. My
understanding of Hades is that it is the under ground abode of the dead
in Greek mythology. There are more and larger grave yards everywhere.
The incidents of gravesite contamination are more common each year and
are likely to continue into the future. As more and more capacity is
required at gravesites it is tempting to reuse very old gravesites for
current needs.
The fifth seal reveals the souls of those
who have been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they
maintained. They are understandably anxious for judgment of those that
killed them. They are told there are more to come and that they should
be patient until the time is complete. Death because of your beliefs
is not common in the United States but can be more of a threat in other
parts of the World today. These people that are slain for their
testimony about Jesus Christ will rein with Jesus during the 1000 years
that Satan is bound in the bottomless pit. The white robes attest to
their acceptance by God.
Mankind is about to crucify God’s
Earth as it did His Son. As the sixth seal is opened we see man’s
destruction of God’s Earth. Every mountain and island was removed from
its place. Long Island will no longer be there, it has been dumped
into the ocean along with Bermuda and all other islands. The mountains
of the World have been flattened. The earth is spinning out of orbit.
It almost appears here that God is doing these things to the Earth;
however, we will find later that mankind is doing these things to God’s
Earth. Something stopped the complete destruction of the Earth, was it
our Lord and Savior rescuing us again? It sure is nice to have a
loving God regardless of what we do.
What did we just see?
We saw the destruction of God’s Earth! But, we are about to go on as
if nothing happened. This event has not occurred yet so we are within
the time frame of the seal revelations. Something (Jesus
Christ) saved the Earth and set it back in proper orbit to allow human
life to continue.
